A conversational experience around food

Nestled in Los Angeles, the Turkish Breakfast Club (TBC) is more than a culinary haven—it's a shared journey where strangers become friends. Crafted by Deniz Hotamisligil and Alper Nakri, TBC is a vibrant sanctuary of tradition and camaraderie. Here, the artistry of Turkish breakfast, or "kahvalti," unfolds in a symphony of flavors. TBC invites you to join this haven, where time slows, hearts beat in harmony, and every moment becomes a shared story in the delicate dance of togetherness. Welcome to our table; welcome to our sanctuary.

What is a Turkish Breakfast?

Turkish breakfast, known as “kahvalti,” is not merely a meal; it’s a celebration of community, fertility, and abundance. Originating from the opulent kitchens of the Ottoman Palace, this tradition has woven its way through generations, becoming a canvas for showcasing the best ingredients from every region. Imagine a spread of strongly brewed tea, circular sesame bread, soft-boiled or scrambled eggs infused with tomatoes and green peppers (Menemen), a variety of cheeses, olives marinated in herbs, and an array of pastries like börek and baklava. This feast for the senses embodies the essence of togetherness and the joy of sharing.
